Miss Metro St. Louis and Miss River City Programs
The Miss Metro St. Louis and Miss River City Scholarship Programs are a not-for-profit organization and an official preliminary to the Miss Missouri and Miss America Pageants. As a local franchise of the Miss America Organization, we provide scholarships to contestants and afford Miss Metro St. Louis and Miss River City a visible presence throughout our city in both speaking and entertainment events.

In addition, Miss Metro St. Louis and Miss River City represent the city at the Miss Missouri Pageant where they may move on to compete at Miss America in Las Vagas. We strongly feel a contestant's participation in Miss Metro St. Louis and Miss River City is an experience that furthers them personally and professionally, building character, poise, confidence, and self-esteem — all qualities essential for success.

Scholarships
As part of the Miss America Organization we are committed to raising and providing scholarships to women 17-24 years of age. Because education is so important, the scholarship money we award to contestants is the primary focus of our program. Our scholarships contribute to the more than $31 million dollars made available to participants each year through Miss America, the largest provider of scholarships to women in the world. We raise scholarship money through donations, in-kind gifts and contributions from the public and private sector.

Spokesperson & Entertainer
Miss Metro St. Louis and Miss River City are available to appear and speak at civic, educational, artistic or professional events in and around St. Louis. She is a spokesperson for her elected platform, an issue of importance to herself and society. Our organization also promotes Miss Metro St. Louis and River City as an entertainer for citywide events. To Book Miss Metro St. Louis or Miss River City at your next event, please contact Mary Ann Owens at or call 314-865-0540.
